Intellectual property rights have now officially gone off the rail in New Orleans. To even consider that the term “Who Dat” as trademarkable is absurd at best. Oh well, as the world crumbles around intellectual property disputes and the Saints head to the Super Bowl I will wear my #whodat shirt from Storyville proudly knowing I am supporting two causes.
After tasting home made graham crackers you will never want to go back to those crispy dry, almost stale, Honey Maid versions. The Nanaimo bars are not bad either.
Apple iPad
posted 2 years agoYesterday Apple announced the widely speculated tablet format device that they have named the iPad. However much potential this device has across various sectors (medical, education, aviation etc…) it appears that the name, not the specs, is getting the most attention. Personally I think the name fits the device, an “Internet Notepad”. Unfortunately like the iPhone it will take some time (and the actual release of the device) to convince many that this is a legitimate device that will define a new segment of mobile computing. Yes there are currently software limitations but look at the software on the 1st gen iPhone with no apps and compare it to today, big difference. Apple has done one thing no other device manufacturer has been able to do so far and that is to build platforms in slightly different flavors (iPod touch, iPhone and now ipad) that serve unique purposes but are all able to tap into the “killer app” of the app store and continually updated firmware. Do you remember ever updating the software on your Motorolla StarTac to get new features? When you buy one of these devices the expectation is that it will evolve with time. New software releases will only improve functionality of this rev 1 device.
